The weather is so hot in Greece at this time of year, that, as early as ten in the morning, you start hearing people complaining about the heat, looking for shade and a cold drink. So what can you do when it’s too sunny for lying on the beach, too warm and crowded to stand in line for hours around the museums, but it’s also too early for siesta? Put on some sunscreen, a hat, grab a bottle of water, and let’s take a walk in the old town of Rhodes.

Through the gate and into the old town

Stuff, stuff, and more stuff

Bougainvillea, clothes lines, motor scooters π

Sleeping late or bankruptcy?

Time itself gets confused here

The place where a minivan almost ran over my toes

You’re right, we’re avoiding people π

Far from the old town, some people prefer the beach

There is a play by Romanian dramatist Victor Ion Popa named “Muscata din fereastra” – “The Geranium in the Window” π
The photos were taken a few years ago in late July, and, although I did not spend much time in Rhodes, I still have a few shots left for a second post. So, if you want to see more, just leave a comment below π
