When you lose something, it’s very hard to remember that for every little thing lost there is a new one on its way. Losing is not easy. It hurts and sometimes leaves scars. In psychology it is even said that the fear of losing something motivates people much more than the benefits of earning a new thing. No matter how tightly we’re attached to the things in our lives, every single one of them has its own meaning and purpose for a while, after which it either changes or gives room to new life experiences we need in order to evolve. When change is due, stability only sets you back and down.
Try not to resist change. Don’t cling to what has run out of purpose and can’t possibly make you happy anymore. If winter has started thawing away, allow spring to heal your heart. Clean the clutter, make room for sunshine and flowers.
